The Men Team

The countdown to the 2026/27 season is officially on, and the Navan Men’s team are back on the pitch and working hard in preparation for another year of Division 4 hockey. After securing their place in Division 4 last season, the Badgers will be determined to build on that campaign and continue moving forward.

Pre-season training is already well underway, with plenty of focus on both fitness and stick skills as the squad prepares for their first competitive test of the new season.

Latest News!

Numbers at training are looking promising, with several of our younger players stepping up into the senior setup and eager to prove themselves. Many of the lads remained active throughout the summer through our weekly Social Hockey sessions, which has certainly helped keep the legs moving and the fitness levels ticking over during the off-season. Now that structured training has returned, the intensity is beginning to increase as everyone works towards being ready for that opening whistle. The addition of younger players alongside the experience already within the squad also gives the Men's section plenty to be excited about. Pre-season is the perfect opportunity for those players to make their mark, learn from the senior members and show what they can bring to the team.

First Match of the Season
The Men won't have too long to wait before putting all that pre-season work into action. Their first match of the 2026/27 season will be a home fixture against North Kildare HC 1 on Saturday, 26th September 2026. Starting the campaign at home gives the Badgers a fantastic opportunity to begin the new season strongly, and we hope to see plenty of Navan supporters along the sidelines cheering them on
